To mark the occasion of Milan Design Week 2016, FENIX NTM, the nanotech material created by Arpa Industriale, presented Iconic Re-naissance Design, a project that was brought to life in collaboration with key companies in the world of interior design.
Tables, chairs, stools, lamps, toys, everyday objects and pieces of memory that, when reinterpreted by FENIX NTM, were reborn in a poetic and interactive way. A harmonious balance of material, aesthetic strength and the representational value of the object itself.
Iconic Re-naissance Design is set up in three different sections. The first, dedicated to design icons, showcases 18 projects from the ‘50s to today, from brands including Arclinea, Boffi, Cappellini, Cassina, Cini&Nils, Fontana Arte, Fritz Hansen, Glas Italia, Kartell, Kristalia, LaPalma, Luceplan, Magis, Minacciolo, Moroso, Tecno and Zanotta. Every object is characterised by the materiality of FENIX NTM.
The journey continues with a play section where you can interact with unbranded objects that are part of our collective memory and therefore iconic. Amongst other things, FENIX NTM reinterprets a foosball table and an original ping-pong table with a parametric design.
The installation ends with an informative area dedicated to allowing visitors to experience the unique characteristics of FENIX NTM, including its extreme matt surface, anti-fingerprint effect, softness to the touch and thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches.
