FENIX NTM® Bloom received a recognition in the ecology category of the Materialpreis2020 award. The award was granted in eight small ceremonies celebrated in December 2020.
FENIX NTM Bloom is an innovative material that has a more natural core. With Bloom, lignin technology has been introduced to significantly reduce the amount of phenol included in the resin by 50%.
The renowned Materialpreis, organized yearly by the prestigious German agency raumprobe, honors outstanding and future-oriented materials. From the development of innovative materials through to use in projects, it encompasses the entire process chain, and simultaneously showcases both the latest trends and current developments.
The winners are selected by an independent jury of six experienced experts from various material-related disciplines. The 2020 jury was composed by Regina Adamczak, editor of BM magazine; industrial designer Werner Aisslinger; Sven Plieninger, managing director of schlaich bergermann partner; architect Thomas Steimle; Marina-Elena Wachs, professor at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences; and Andrea Weitz of raumkontor Innenarchitektur.
This is the second Materialpreis received by FENIX, the innovative materials for interior design. In 2014, FENIX NTM won the First Prize in the design category
